A spectacular day of competition ends, with the participants giving their best to get the coveted pass to the quarterfinals of the CABREIROÁ JUNIOR PRO FERROL 2022.
 
From 6:00 p.m. the surfers returned to the water to compete in the last heat of the third round. Finally, the French Aelan Vaast and Juliette Lacome are the ones to complete the women’s quarterfinals.
 
Then, it was the turn of the men’s category to compete for the pass to the quarterfinals. The first to qualify were the Basques Bitor Garitaonandia and Yago Domínguez. After a very close series, it was Bitor Garitaonandia who advanced in the first place. “The heat was very complicated, with high-level competitors who were going to make it difficult for me, but I was calm, and I end up happy to have managed to advance,” he said.
 
In the next heat, Cantabrian Mario Rasines got the best wave of the event, scoring a spectacular 9.67 out of 10. He said that this heat “has been the best of my life. I knew I had to do well, and as soon as I saw the opportunity at the last minute, I went for it.”
 
Completing the men’s quarterfinals are the Basques Keoni Lasa and Markel Vizcarguenaga, the Frenchman Sam Piter, and the Portuguese Martim Nunes.
 
Tomorrow will begin the last day of competition of the World Junior Tour event of the World Surf League (WSL) at 8:00 a.m.
