“ABANCA ADAPTIVE SURF IS ONE OF THE MOST INCLUSIVE EVENTS IN WHICH WE HAVE EVER COMPETED”

  • The Canadian Victoria Feige and the American Parker Olenick, came to Spain for the first time to participate in this new edition.
  • This afternoon the finals will take place from 15:30h.

The ABANCA ADAPTIVE SURF grows in its third edition, welcoming 30 international surfers, some of whom have come to Spain for the first time to compete at Pantín Beach.

The young Portuguese surfer Marta Jordao, already participated in 2020 and 2021, and now returns this year for the third time to Pantín. She has witnessed the evolution of this event, essential to promote this sport in Europe.

Three-time world champion in her category, Canadian Victoria Feige, emphasized that this is “the most inclusive event we have ever participated in, in a stunning natural setting, and although the sea conditions are difficult, we will make the most of them”.

Also for the first time in Spain, young Parker Olenick. Originally from San Diego, California, he commented how at first he didn’t believe the great opportunity he has been given to be able to come and participate. “I couldn’t believe I was here, I couldn’t believe how incredible the facilities are, this event is just the beginning of something that can have a big impact, I’m glad to be part of this beginning.” He also added that Pantin Beach reminds him of the beach he frequents in San Diego, so “it’s been great to feel at home even though I’m so far away”.

This afternoon will take place in the finals in the different categories that the ABANCA ADAPTIVE SURF has hosted, starting at 15:30h.
