Today the Galician Trials took place, a competition that awarded 4 wildcards to the first and second classified in men’s and women’s categories, which will allow them to participate in the World Surf League (WSL) Junior Qualifying Series event, GADIS JUNIOR PRO FERROL 2021.
In the female category, the surfer Paula Toja got first place, followed by Claudia Prieto, obtaining thus the first two wildcards. The winner, Paula Tojas added that “this is my first time competing in the Junior Qualifying Series, and I will be able to do it on my beach, in Doniños.”
In the men’s category, it was Sebas Bamonde and Manuel Fernández who obtained the first and second places respectively and the last two wildcards. For his part, Sebas Bamonde added “I was facing tough opponents, but I am stocked with my results and motivated to compete tomorrow”.
And it is that tomorrow, Friday, July 23, the action will begin on Playa de Doniños, Ferrol, where great wave conditions are expected for the start of the competition at 7:00 a.m. for the first edition of the GADIS JUNIOR PRO FERROL 2021.
