After a three-day wait, today Saturday the competition in the ABANCA PANTÍN CLASSIC GALICIA PRO 2021 was back on with the third round of the female category.

The competitors have shown a great competitive level with impressive performances, especially the Basque surfer Ariane Ochoa, who obtained an incredible 9 out of 10 points in her first wave of the championship, achieving not only the best wave of the event so far but also the best-accumulated score with 14.40 points.

Canarian surfers Lucía Machado also stood out, with a total score of 13.23 points and Melania Suárez with 10.76 points, closely followed by the Portuguese Carolina Mendes, with 13.16 total points.

Also outstanding, the sisters Annette González Etxabarri and Janire González Etxabarri, who together with the French Pauline Ado advance to the fourth round of the World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series event. The latter also commented that it is always a pleasure for her to come and compete in Pantín, and that, although the wave conditions have not been too great, “it is important to know how to choose the best waves to get the best score“.

Now is the turn of the male category and competition is still on at Playa de Pantín, Valdoviño.
