EPIC DAY AT BANCA PANTÍN CLASSIC GALICIA PRO 2020

  • Joan Durú, Aritz Aranburu and Luis Díaz advance in the competition.

  • Tomorrow, the last day of competition, the male category starts at 08:00 a.m.

The third day of the ABANCA PANTÍN CLASSIC GALICIA PRO ends, leaving epic performances of the male category on a day full of surfing.

With pumping wave conditions, the participants have been able to make the most of them to get the long-awaited pass to the fourth round of the men’s category.

French surfers continue to advance in the competition, with stellar performances such as that of the surfer Joan Durú, who has led in his heat, with a wave of 8.77 points out of 10, advancing directly towards the fourth round; Thomas Debierre, from France as well, told us that he is grateful for the opportunity to participate in an event of such level this year and also managed to pass the round after finishing first in his heat. It was not going to be less Maxime Huscenot, who, in a last lap of the night, obtained the score that opened the doors to the fourth round.

The Basque surfer Aritz Aranburu, who is very delighted to be competing again in Pantín, was a great performance and, after overcoming his opponents, finished first in his heat.

The Canarian surfer Luis Díaz has also spotlight, who, although he believes that he has not shown his best surfing yet, has achieved several good waves that have guaranteed his continuity in the competition;  and German surfer Marlon Lipke, who after suffering an injury in the previous round, decided to continue competing, aware of his own abilities and determined to continue advancing.

One of the great moments experienced in this third round has been when we have seen Dani and Néstor García, father and son, faced off in the same heat, both fighting for the pass to the next round. Sadly, they have failed to qualify, but they have undoubtedly put on a great performance that will last in the history of the event.

Tomorrow, the last day of the competition will begin with the male category at 08:00 a.m. and with the women taking over at 10:00 a.m. with excellent conditions expected for the fourth day in a row and will end with the awards ceremony for male and female categories of ABANCA PANTÍN CLASSIC GALICIA PRO 2020 at 6:00 p.m.

The final classified for the fourth round in the male category are Charly Quivrot (FRANCE), Leo Etienne (FRANCE), Vasco Ribeiro (PORTUGAL), Arran Strong (ENGLAND), Justin Becret (FRANCE), Andy Criere (BASQUE COUNTRY), Joan Durú (FRANCE), Dylan Groen (GERMANY), Joaquin Chaves (PORTUGAL), Thomas Debierre (FRANCE), Vicente Romero (SPAIN), Aritz Aranburu (BASQUE COUNTRY), Leon Glatzer (GERMANY), Maxime Huscenot (FRANCE) y Marlon Lipke (GERMANY).
