After a three-day break, the ABANCA PANTÍN CLASSIC GALICIA PRO 2021 returns with strength and ends the day with incredible performances by the competitors, who have undoubtedly made the most of today’s good wave conditions.
The fourth round of the men’s category has been played, with three clear protagonists, the Portuguese Pedro Henrique, with 12.86 accumulated points, and the French Gatien Delahaye, with 14.33 total points, who has obtained the highest score of the afternoon and also the best wave in his category and Tristan Guilbaud, with 12.60 points. The latter also commented that he loves to compete in the Pantín wave and that, although he is competing with very strong rivals, he feels confident to continue advancing.
For its part, in the female category, the fourth round has been carried out, qualifying for the quarterfinals. The Basque surfer Garazi Sánchez has dominated in her series from the beginning, obtaining the best second wave of the afternoon with 8.03 points out of 10, and the best total score of the event so far, with 15.86 points.
Following her closely, the Portuguese surfer Carolina Mendes obtained the best wave of the afternoon with 8.23 points out of 10 and a total score of 14.73 points.
In addition, Pauline Ado, Lucía Machado, Leticia Canales, Ariane Ochoa, Melania Suárez and Mafalda López will compete in the women’s quarterfinals.
The competition of the World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series event continues tomorrow with the call at 8:30 a.m. for the men’s category and at 10:00 a.m. for the female category, for the quarterfinals.
