LETICIA CANALES CROWNED EUROPEAN CHAMPION AT PANTÍN

The Basque surfer Leticia Canales has been crowned as European surfing champion in the female category, in the 34th edition of ABANCA PANTÍN CLASSIC GALICIA PRO 2021, a title for which the French Pauline Ado also competed, whom she has surpassed in the European ranking.

Although the winner of the World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series event is yet to be decided since it will be tomorrow Sunday when the long-awaited final takes place.
 
Today, Saturday, both surfers have excelled in their rounds with incredible performances, but it was finally during the dispute of the fourth round this afternoon when the Basque surfer achieved the necessary score to overcome the French and win the European title.
 
Already in 2015, she was close to victory, and since then she has continued coming to compete with a clear objective. “I came determined to be champion of Europe and I have fulfilled my goal, now it’s time to continue dreaming“, declared Leticia Canales. 
 
But the competition is not over yet for her, because tomorrow she will face the quarterfinals of the World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series event, and will continue to fight to win the ABANCA PANTÍN CLASSIC GALICIA PRO 2021.
