The women’s category has launched the competition of the 35th edition of the ABANCA PANTÍN CLASSIC GALICIA PRO 2022.
This morning the first round was completed, with Alys Barton from Great Britain as the leading rider, with the highest cumulative score of the morning, 14.56 points in her first heat. Along with her, Eveline Hooft (Netherlands), Annette González Etxabarri (Basque Country), Hina-Maria Conradi (France), and Camilla Kemp (Germany) advanced to the second round.
Camilla Kemp voiced her excitement to be back competing in Pantin. “It’s great to start the season here, the wave forecasts are very good for these days, I’m looking forward to continuing”.
The young Canarian promise, Lucia Machado was leading in her heat and continued in the competition. “I’m very happy to pass my first heat, the conditions are getting better by the minute,” she said. Tebbace Lilias, from Morocco, also expressed her thrill to be back in Pantín, and “although the conditions have been complicated, it’s great to compete here,” she added.
From 18:00h the action returns to the World Surf League (WSL) event, with the men’s category.
