The test was presented this Wednesday at the FITUR stand in Madrid

Madrid, January 24:- The new edition of the Abanca Pantin Classic Galicia Pro was presented this afternoon at the Galicia stand at Fitur, the tourism fair that is being held these days in Madrid. The event thus reaches 37 years of celebration consecutively and without interruptions, a milestone that only three championships of this magnitude have achieved in the world.
As is traditional, it is in Fitur where the dates of the championship are revealed, which this year will be held between August 24 and September 1.

It is on these dates when there is a greater possibility of the waves shining in all their splendor on Pantín beach (Valdoviño), one of the beaches with the most consistent waves in Galicia due mainly to its orientation.
After revealing the dates of this edition, Yago Barreto (representative of the organization) stressed the importance of this event “continuing to belong to the prestigious World Surf League circuit, turning Galicia into the epicenter of professional surfing in our country.”
He also confirmed that the event will continue in the line of transcending the merely sporting, announcing some of the numerous activities that will take place parallel to the event: gastronomic, environmental, musical… a whole leisure offering that attracts an average of 100,000 visitors per edition.

The presentation ceremony was attended by political representatives such as José Manuel Rey Varela, mayor of Ferrol, who highlighted that the commitment to the territory and the sport of surfing have consolidated this championship as one of the most important in the world, with the relevance that this entails for the Ferrolterra region and Galicia in general.
