- French Johanne Defay opened the day with a wave of 9.00 points that allow her to get into the next round of the ABANCA Galicia Classic Surf Pro.
- Sage Erickson (United States) and Silvana Lima (Brazil), two of the favourites to the final victory, will also be in the fourth round.
The morning sesión of the second day of the women’s QS/10.000 of the ABANCA Galicia Classic Surf Pro, closed with the four remaining tests of round three that were not played last Sunday (September 1). The appointment is taking place on the beach of Pantín ((Valdoviño, Ferrolterra, province of A Coruña), and is part of the World Surf League circuit.
The French Johanne Defay (10th in the CT) opened the sesión with a wave of 9.00 points, that allowed her to classify in the round of sixteen. Along with her, Costa Rican Brisa Henessy (9th in the CT), as well as Silvana Lima (13th in the CT, Brazil); Sage Erickson (2nd in the QS, United States); Chelsea Tuch (Barbados) and the Japanese Sara Wakita, Ren Hashimoto and Amuro Tsuzuki.
The Austrlian Paige Hareb (16th in the CT) was one of those who stayed out of the competition. Nor do they continue in Pantín: Maud Le Car (France), Tía Blanco (Puerto Rico) and Kirra Pinkerton (United States).
They are classified since last Sunday: Allysa Spencer (United States); Bronte Macaulay (11th in CT, Australia), Philippa Anderson, Sophie McCulloh, Isabella Nichols (1st in QS, Australia), Macy Callaghan (16th in CT, Australia), Kelly Andrew (Australia) and Brazilian Tatiana Weston- Webb (8th in the CT).
From 12:00 p.m. they have begun to dispute the round of sixteen, in ‘woman to woman’ format.
