YAGO DOMÍNGUEZ AND BITOR GARITAONANDIA HIT THE TOP ON THE SECOND DAY OF COMPETITION

The action keeps up on the second day of competition of the CABREIROÁ JUNIOR PRO FERROL 2022, with pumping conditions and the competitors giving it all and making the most of the waves.
 
Basque surfers Yago Domínguez and Bitor Garitaonandia, have hit the top by claiming the two best scores of this morning. Yago Domínguez got the top wave of the event so far, with a spectacular 9.23 out of 10, and said that his best strategy was to know how to wait and choose the best waves. 
 
For his part, Bitor Garitaonandia secured a total score of 16.50, the second-highest of the morning, with two breakers of 8.27 and 8.23 points out of 10. “Doniños is a beach where I really like to surf, there are always very good waves, and today my goal was to enjoy my heat and these waves, and I have achieved it,” he said.
 
The international surfers were as strong, with Portugal’s Afonso Antunes, Poland’s Maksymilian Michalewski, and France’s Noe Ledee also in the lead.
 
Maksymilian Michalewski finished his heat in first place after getting one of the best waves of the morning, with an 8.33 out of 10 and he was “happy to be back in Galicia and in Doniños”. 
 
The competition of the World Junior Tour event of the World Surf League (WSL) continues at Doniños beach with the third round in the men’s category.
