Yolanda Hopkins spotlights at Cabreiroá Pro Las Américas 2020

Yolanda Hopkins got the top wave of the day with a score of 9,17 and also the biggest heat total with 16,23 points.
Today we have seen some of the best performances of the event.

The second day of action of Cabreiroá Pro Las Américas 2020 is closed with the female category taking full advantage of the excellent conditions that the sea and the climate of Arona have provided.
 
The Portuguese Yolanda Hopkins becomes the revelation surfer of Cabreiroá Pro Las Américas 2020, getting the top wave in the morning session with an extraordinary 9,17 (out of 10), and also earning the best total score of the day with 16,23 points.
 
Following closely is Rachel Presti, German surfer, who earns today a total of 15,17 points. She declared that this is the second year that she is in the running of Cabreiroá Pro Las Américas and that she feels comfortable and confident in this wave that as she says, complements her surfing. She ended up stating “I am here to win, and that is what I hope to achieve”.

Although the wind has remained present during the day, that has not stopped the competitors from amusing the attendees with heavy performances, achieving the highest overall scores of the competition of both categories, male and female. The closure of this second day, reported by the medical support team, has been positive, many of the participants have made use of the facilities, getting ready to continue advancing in the competition to offer us manouvres such as the ones seen today.
 
Garazi Sánchez-Ortun, the international surfer, keeps advancing in the competition and told us that she feels great for having managed to pass the round and more taking into account the scores she has got, considering that she faced heavy competitors. She ended by saying that she is wishing to go back to the water and enjoy surfing as before.

Still running alive on the competition are Sol Aguirre (PERU), Francisca Veselko (PORTUGAL), Rachel Presti (GERMANY), Peony Knight (ENGLAND), Ariane Ochoa (VASQUE COUNTRY), Teresa Bonvalot (PORTUGAL), Maud Le Car (FRANCE), Juliette Lacome (FRANCE), Marion Philippe (FRENCH POLYNESIA), Bahia Frediani (FRANCE), Pauline Ado (FRANCE), Lucía Martino (SPAIN), Nadia Erostarbe (VASQUE COUNTRY) and Emily Gussoni (ITALY).
