On the other hand, the spanish federation has created nursery of good surfers and emerging talents that want to be noticed at an international level. ANDY CRIERE
He just won the Anglet Pro, Congratulations Andy for your deserved success! His triumph has given him direct pass to the ABANCA Galicia Classic Surf Pro as a Wildcard International. The basque is making a very good season being proclaimed leader of the Iberdrola Ligue. Occupaying place #121 of Men´s QS Ranking 2019, he´s keeping a very steedy eye the future olympic games.
ARITZ ARANBURU
His achievements include numerous awards but the the most remarkable is that he´s still the only spanish surfer that has been part of the WCT. Zarautz´s surfer occupys position #50 in Men´s QS Ranking 2019.
VICENTE ROMERO
Based for many years in Ferrol, this surfer has several victories on his back: Twice Spanish Champion in 2013 and 2016, European Champion in Casablanca´s Surf Open and 2019 winner of the Cabreiroá Pro Zarautz Basque Country QS1,500. Placed in #56 of Men´s QS Ranking 2019.
RUBEN VITORIA
Another promising sportsman from the CANTERA VASCA. With just 19 y.o, he was winner of Cabreiroá Pro Zarautz Basque Country 2019 and had a 5th place in Las Américas Pro Tenerife. Occupaying #87 of Men´s QS Ranking 2019.
GONY ZUBIZARRETA
Pantín enthusiastic public loves Gony. He´s not just the best galician surfer but he has this overwhelming personality that makes him so special. He started winning titles at a very son age. He´s also really concern about the importance of preserving plastic-free “natural spaces”, specially in Galicia.
NADIA EROSTARBE
This year has started with great success; she´s won two QS; the Senegal Pro QS1,500 y el XXXXXX en Chile (mayo). She has also the European Junior 2018 title. She is the leading athlete in the list of national talented surf women and continues to push her bounderies in preparation for a possible place at the Olympics.
LETICIA CANALES
Vasque rider has won the silver medal in Las Américas Pro Tenerife . In 2015 she won two important titles; 2015 Pro Junior Champion in Sopelana and second in the Pantín Classic Pro 2015. Her goa lis to have nice results in the QS so that she can become part of the preolimpic team and find her way to Tokio 2020. She´s now in place plaza #44 of Women´s QS Ranking 2019.
GARAZI SANCHEZ
She´s been Spanish Champion in 2018 and 2017 aswell as silver medalist at the 2017 European Champion. Again another vasque surfer that´s working really hard to make her dream come true, looking forward top be in the Olympics.
