The 35th anniversary of the ABANCA PANTÍN CLASSIC GALICIA PRO 2022 is going to be much more than a sporting event. One of the main innovations of this new edition is that it will have a playground.
This pioneering initiative of the Xunta de Galicia, through the Plan Corresponsables, will support the program of activities to be developed in the 35th edition of the ABANCA PANTÍN CLASSIC GALICIA PRO 2022 to facilitate the reconciliation of personal, family, and work-life of those attending the event as public, athletes, and workers themselves.
So, the youngest can enjoy a variety of activities aimed at encouraging sport. There will be surf baptisms, skateboarding lessons on the installed ramp, recycling workshops, beach cleanups, and different games, among many other activities that will act as catalysts of the values that the Xunta de Galicia promotes through this differentiating initiative.
The conselleira de Promoción del Empleo e Igualdade, María Jesús Lorenzana Somoza, valued sport as an engine of change to instill and promote values such as tolerance, respect, discipline, and companionship and advocated the success of this playground as a tool to promote conciliation and co-responsibility.
“These measures must go a step further to move towards rationality and the use of two times and two hours in both women and households. And for that it is essential to promote, involve and engage the whole society and activate co-responsible thinking and action,” she said.
The ABANCA PANTÍN CLASSIC GALICIA PRO 2022 playground will open its doors at Pantín beach, Valdoviño, on Saturday, July 9, and will continue to operate until Sunday, July 17, from 10:00h to 14:00h in the mornings and from 16:00h to 20:00h in the afternoons.
