ABANCA PANTÍN CLASSIC GALICIA PRO STRENGTHS IN FITUR 2021

Today, May 19, the presentation of the ABANCA PANTÍN CLASSIC GALICIA PRO 2021 took place at Fitur 2021.
 
The event, which this year will celebrate its 34th edition, and is included in the World Surf League (WSL) World Tour, will take place from June 26 to July 4 at Playa de Pantín, Valdoviño.
 
In the presentation we had the presence of Alfonso Rueda, first vice president of the Xunta de Galicia, who intervened expressing his admiration for how the spirit of ABANCA PANTÍN CLASSIC GALICIA PRO was maintained during the last edition, also emphasizing that this year the event will represent the beginning of a new stage for tourism that has been looking for environments and events like the one presented today, in which open spaces and contact with nature stand out.


Alberto González, mayor of Valdoviño, who also intervened, thanked public and private entities, the Xunta de Galicia and the population of Valdoviño for their support in their resolution to celebrate this event, highlighting its importance and impact on the entire region.
 
Also present was Luis Beraza de Diego, ABANCA’s General Director of Business Spain, who stated that the ABANCA PANTÍN CLASSIC GALICIA PRO is not only the most important surfing event in our country but also a consolidated and benchmark event in the international sports scene. He also commented that the name of his entity is integrated into the name of the event as a sign of commitment to a competition that is one of the great events of the year in Galicia, with an important social and economic impact and a key event within the sports field within the celebration of this Xacobeo 21-22. Also, in attendance were Nava Castro, Galicia Tourism Director, Fabricio Mancebo, Director of Global Brand of ECOLIFE. 
 
After the success of the last edition, the ABANCA PANTÍN CLASSIC GALICIA PRO once again presents itself as a fundamental tool for promoting tourism, emphasizing the image of Galicia as a safe destination for both tourism and sports.
